2026 Airshow

"Congratulations on running a great show.  I am a seasoned airshow attendee and am pleased to say that this is in the top one or two shows I have ever attended.   Thanks for putting it all together - the mix of aircraft was spot on from the F-16 (mind blowing!) to the Dunkirk scenario and even the bush planes.

I am extremely grateful to the organisers, owners, pilots, ground crews and volunteers that put the show together.  I had such a good time I cannot believe it was legal.  Thanks again, see you next time!"

Warbirds Over Wanaka International Airshow 2026

Planning for the Southern Hemisphere’s largest Warbirds Airshow is already underway. After a six-year hiatus the airshow roared back into life at Easter 2024 with record breaking crowds and stunning displays from both classic and more modern aircraft.  Ideas for Easter 2026 (April 3, 4 and 5) are already been worked through and we are confident of having another amazing airshow.  Sign up to our newsletter via our website to stay informed (scroll down on our website home page to find the newsletter sign-in link).

Warbirds Over Wanaka is famous for attracting a wide variety of privately owned Warbird aircraft along with their modern-day counterparts from the RNZAF, RAAF and USAF. While the aircraft are the main focus of our event, there are a lot of other displays on the ground which have made this show so successful over the past 36+ years.

The amazing pyrotechnics, aircraft for sale, air force recruiters, air cadets, sport aviation and other exhibitors will all be back to make 2026 a truly unforgettable experience for everyone.
